It does contain a lot of information, but the pictures of things like poisonous plants and snakes, like all of these "reprints", are in black and white and very poor quality so they are pretty much useless.

Kind of important information if you ask me. The claim that it is complete and unabridged is misleading to me as the color plates are not included. Fantastic book! This book is a must have for anyone who wishes to learn wilderness survival.

This book is organized extremely well. All information in this book is practical and covers all topics needed to survive anywhere on planet earth! There seem to be many versions of FM for sale. I purchased one of the short versions a while ago and it does not have all the info that this unabridged version has. Highly recommend! Good read, lots of good information. Way too big and heavy to throw in a bug out bag. My 11 year-old loves the book.

I like it for all the survival information. Great book to have around!!! This manual won't show you how to become a nuclear power but it does have lots of information about survival in many different types of environment.
